This is the new official update thread for Turf Battles information. The older thread can be found Here
Update #10 11/30
We received a new content update yesterday, which will be going onto the test server.
The update includes
1. A fix for the suffering spirit cave exploit
2. Final alterations (hopefully) for the Island system
I would like to dispel the rumors that CB3 will be starting within 24 hours. We still have another patch going onto test today, which means a testing cycle. Which ultimately means, more time.
We are however getting really, really close to entering into the mode. It shouldn't be too much longer. But until I know for sure, I can't give a date.
Update #9 11/20
We received the content patch tonight, for test.
A list of changes is long overdue. So here is a partial list of changes, that are guaranteed to be in CB3. There will be more, when we release CB3.
Definitely in CB3
1. PVP Channel
2. Ability to see Party Members levels
3.Monster Experience Bonus has been changed (to be more beneficial)
4. Event Experience NPC is now in the game
5. Disabling Healing Gems of Spirit from being used in PVP
6. PK Point Halo system
7. Island System is 24 hours, and monsters have correct drops
8. All PVP penalties will occur from -200 to -255 honor points. (Players will only drop items against monsters when their name is pure red)
9. Darc Atak/Bomber King populations reduced by 50% on Islands
10. Bomber king NPC made non-aggro in the newbie zones
11. Players do not lose items when killed in Ladianes Civil war
Still in development
* Suffering Spirit Cave exploit fix
* Islands system separate for each channel
* Biscupe Tournament Fix
Update #8 11/19
We will be receiving an update to the game, tonight. For testing over the weekend.
This update brings us much, much closer to the launch of CB3. I can confidently say that many of the changes you have asked for, are going to be implemented into the beta. When we get closer I will release a full list of changes.
Update #7 11/16
SmileGate attempted the duplication bug on the test server this weekend. They created latency from both the client and the server in an effort to duplicate items. They were unsuccessful in doing so. Which lead them to believe that the bug was fixed.
I have asked that one more test be run with myself, and our Game sages present, so that we may attempt to duplicate. If this test is successful, we will proceed cautiously into the final stages of the transition between CB2 and CB3.
Update #6 11/12
Today we had a phone conference with SmileGate. They have stated that they are going to create latency on the test server in an effort to retest the duplication issue. This is a good thing, that they realized latency was the problem. It only took us...two weeks.
Outside of that, testing is going well on the new content. We sent them a new bug report yesterday with only 17 bugs on it. That is an improvement over the 45 that we began with.
Progress is going well, and we will be having phone conferences every Monday to discuss issues, and the overall progress of the game.
Update #5 11/10
We received the major content this evening. We are in the process of patching it to the test server, so that we can begin...testing.
Still no word on the duplication bug. But we have scheduled a phone conference with the high-ups at SmileGate, for this week. The agenda includes the dupe bug and possible solutions.
Update #4 11/6
Today we received word that we will be receiving a major content update to test on 11/10.
This update should include most of the changes we have asked for so far. This will include the ones I have already listed. Once we have these changes the testing on the system will begin.
As for the duplication bug. It currently still exists but we have been working on solutions with the developer that we hope to see implemented for testing next week.
Update #3 10/30
Received confirmation from the developers last night, that they will be implementing the following:
1. PvP channel, stating whom has killed whom.
2. Ability to see players levels while in a party. (similar to the old TB party window)
3. Players will no longer be able to PK members of their Party or Tribe.
4. Tribe members will be able t see other tribe members levels.
5. Healing Gems of Spirit will be disalbed for PvP
Some bad news though. The duplication bug is still not fixed. We will be providing a few proposals for solutions today, and hope that they are adopted.
Have a good weekend!
Update #2 10/27...again?
Here are a few (there are 45 in total) of the more major changes/bugfixes we have asked for:
Note: While I can't guarantee full implementation. I can say that we have told the developers we will not proceed forward unless these changes (and others) are made.
1) Island System completed in full.
Includes:

Adding correct drops to Island monsters
Players with 0 PK Points do not lose PK points if killed
Islands system available on both channels (but separate captures)
2) Fixing Suffering Spirit Cave EXP bug
3) Fixing Biscupe Tournament
4) Players shouldn't lose equipment when killed in Ladianes Civil War
5) Enabling PK points gain/loss for Ladianes war and biscupe tournament
6) All PVP penalties will occur from -200 to -255 honor points. (Players will only drop items against monsters when their name is pure red)
7) Adding PVP Channel to newbie shell. (So players can see whom has been killed by whom)
Cool Adjustments to Experience. Including bringing back a EXP NPC from CB1 and Adjusting EXP bonuses given from monsters.
9) Disabling Healing Gems of Spirit from being used in PVP
Update #1 10/27
As you have no doubt heard the servers for CB2 were shut down. We are now in transition to our Closed Beta 3.
The first steps in this transition is focusing the developers on the changes and bugs we need fixed before CB3 can begin.
Today I will be sending the developers a rather long and prioritized list of changes we wish to see. These of course will include a fix for duplication, and the finalization of the Island System
When the list has been confirmed by the developers I will do my best to post as many of the changes on this thread as I can.
Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to releasing Turf Battles as soon as possible.
